Grammy-nominated acapella quartet opens 黑料门大事记 Lyceum Series鈥 76th season

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擳he soulful harmonies of Kings Return will fill Lee Hall鈥檚 historic Bettersworth Auditorium on Oct. 4 as the Grammy-nominated acapella vocal group kicks off the 黑料门大事记 Lyceum Series鈥 76th season at 7 p.m.
The quartet鈥攆irst gaining notoriety after barebones versions of 鈥淕od Bless America鈥 and 鈥淯bi Cartis鈥 sung in stairwells went viral鈥攄raws from R&B, jazz, gospel and pop influences. Reviewers have said the band of vocal brothers defy the constraints of a single genre and explore a myriad of sonic shades and textures.
After releasing a debut EP in 2021, Kings Return鈥檚 first full-length album, 2022鈥檚 鈥淩OVE,鈥 featured a cover of the Bee Gees鈥 song 鈥淗ow Deep Is Your Love,鈥 which earned a Grammy nomination in the Best Arrangement Instrumental or Acapella category.
